Both games drew my attention because of the amazing contemporary visual style, unique character designs, great sound track and superb writing with the non-linear storytelling. I played Ghost Trick on vacation while away from the computer, before that I was playing The Outer Worlds, I was liking it, but coming back now after this delicious treat, I fear I might lose my interest very quickly.Īnother game that I liked a lot and has a similar atmosphere to this was The World Ends With You (played the Android version). But every now and then I find a game that's so intriguing that I end up getting swallowed by the narrative and characters, like this one. I usually have problems with slow paced, dialogue driven games, I'm much more inclined to the action exploration of games like hollow knight, dark souls and path of exile. However Sissel is told he only has until dawn to find out why he died or his soul will disappear from the world of the living.I just played this game for the first time and loved it so much. The story of the game will take the player through various scenarios where Sissel can help prevent the death of a living being while finding out more about his own death. Moving between objects and using tricks at the right time is the key to progressing through the game and preventing a death from happening. Sissel also has the ability to go back 4 minutes before a person was killed to try and change their fate. The gameplay in Ghost Trick consists of possessing whatever is nearby and manipulating inanimate objects, in other words as a ghost Sissel has the power to perform tricks. Just as Sissel is about to give up a voice tells you that you're the only one who can help the girl because as a ghost Sissel has gained a few powers. The game begins as a girl named Lynne is about to be shot but can't be helped since you play the role of Sissel and you're already dead.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective is a puzzle adventure game from Capcom writer and game director Shu Takumi, the creator of the Ace Attorney series.
